Orientation Party for New Students in Fall 2025! Welcome!
The MA-GELCS programme warmly welcomed the new Fall entrants at the orientation party held on 26 August 2025 (Tuesday).
The event began with a shared session between students from both MA-ELTA and MA-GELCS, where everyone enjoyed light refreshments, pasta and beverages. This was a wonderful opportunity for students to introduce themselves and get to know one another.

In the second part of the orientation, students from the two programmes moved into separate classrooms.
Dr Jay Parker, Programme Director of MA-GELCS, delivered a presentation introducing the curriculum, the activities specific to MA-GELCS programme, and introduce the MA-GELCS teaching team, consisting of Dr. Anna Tso (Head of the English Department), Dr. Jay Parker (Programme Director of MA-GELCS), Professor Tam (Dean of School of Humanities and Social Science), Dr Paul Fung, Dr Chloe Leung and Dr Miguel Antonio Nograles Lizada.
After the formal session concluded, students had the chance to engage in free discussions with the instructors.
The evening was filled with delightful food, new friendships, and meaningful face-to-face interactions with teachers, leaving everyone with fond memories. We wish all MA-ELTA students a wonderful year ahead at HSUHK!
